HIV/AIDS Medical Care

Since the beginning of the AIDS epidemic, Chase Brexton has been a pioneer in providing community-based health care for people living with HIV/AIDS and is the only community-based facility in Baltimore that provides comprehensive, compassionate medical care for people with HIV/AIDS. 

The Chase Brexton medical team works to improve the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS, while our nursing staff, pharmacists, substance abuse counselors and case managers work with patients to reduce barriers to maintaining good health.  In addition, our patients are encouraged to educate themselves about HIV and be proactive in their health care.  Our services include: 

• complete medical history, physical exam and mental health evaluation
• ongoing follow-up visits
• diagnostic tests
• treatment for patients co-infected with hepatitis B or C
• nutritional assessments and consultations
• intensive educational and adherence support for HIV medications
• onsite full service pharmacy with pharmacists specifically trained and experienced in dealing with HIV medicines
