Federally-funded health centers including Chase Brexton Health Care served a record number patients last year, according to recently released data which highlighted their importance to community health nationwide.

Health centers funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration served more than 32.4 million patients in 2024, the most ever served in the sixty-year history of the Health Center Program

“Our nation’s health centers are key to addressing chronic diseases and improving health outcomes in communities across the country,” said HRSA Administrator Tom Engels.

Nationwide, HRSA-funded health centers deliver comprehensive primary care to 1 in 8 children, 1 in 5 rural residents, and 1 in 15 adults 65 and older.

Among those health centers, Chase Brexton was recognized for its efforts in two important areas: improving patient access to care, and advancing health information technology.

The health center data was released during National Health Center Week, dedicated to highlighting the impact of health centers across the country.

“As we celebrate National Health Center Week, I want to thank our health center heroes for their tireless commitment to providing exemplary care to their communities,” Engels said. “This week we recognize their tremendous accomplishments.”
