By Kate Bishop
The LGBT Health Resource Center
“Spooky Season” has arrived and the beautiful autumn finds us all…STRESSED.
Truly, this has been one of the most stressful periods in many of our living memories. The pandemic has been a game-changer, even for those who have not suffered COVID-19 illness or the loss of a loved one. Tragically, many of us have lost someone, often under heartbreaking circumstances where we didn’t get the chance to say goodbye. Navigating a Unique to Back-to-School Season
This back-to-school season will be a unique experience for many LGBTQ youth and their families, with school districts in Maryland and elsewhere starting the year with entirely virtual learning.

Resources for LGBT Emotional Support During Isolation
By Kate Bishop, MSSA, and Randall Leonard, LCSW-C
Beloved community, what a bizarre period of history we find ourselves in. No one currently alive has ever experienced a global health crisis of this magnitude. Stumbling through a wrenching learning curve that has been called a “slow-motion collective trauma,” every person on Earth could probably use some emotional care right now.
Workshop to Offer Support for Coping with Early Memory Loss
The prospect of a condition which may cause early memory loss can be a scary experience, both for the individual facing the diagnosis and for their loved ones, caregivers, and support network.
Advice for navigating these conditions and connecting with crucial resources will be at the center of an upcoming workshop hosted by The LGBT Health Resource Center of Chase Brexton Health Care. The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, March 12 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the community rooms at Chase Brexton's Mt. Vernon Center, 1111 N. Charles St. in Baltimore.
