The history of Chase Brexton involves the stories of the LGBT rights movement, the HIV and AIDS crisis, and the battle for access to equitable health care for all.

Founded in 1978 as a volunteer-run sexually transmitted disease (STD) clinic for LGBT people, Chase Brexton Health Care was a part of the LGBT rights movement from day one.
