Baltimore (Feb. 3, 2026) – Chase Brexton Health Care seeks to grow food security across the Baltimore region at its upcoming Garden Gala, supporting the community health center’s Every Meal Matters program.

Every Meal Matters is an innovative program which combines free food pantries at Chase Brexton’s Baltimore-area centers with integrated medical and nutritional care from its experienced health care providers. The Garden Gala seeks to raise $350,000 in support of Every Meal Matters.

In 2025, one-third of Marylanders—approximately two million people—are currently facing hunger. To help meet this need, last year Chase Brexton’s three food pantries provided in excess of 157,000 pounds of food to more than 10,000 patients.

“Food insecurity remains a deeply rooted problem in Baltimore,” said Alexa Milanytch, Director of Development for Chase Brexton Health Care. “Not everyone can afford the food they need. Even if they can, they may not know which foods are the healthiest, or the best choices for their personal needs. Our Every Meal Matters ties together these branches so our patients to help our patients flourish.”

The Garden Gala will take place Saturday, March 21 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the M&T Bank Exchange Building in downtown Baltimore. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their finest florals to support this life-transforming program—one meal, one patient, one future at a time.

Leading sponsors for The Garden Gala include CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and Visualutions.
