The SAGECAP program, which offers support, education and assistance to LGBT caregivers, has scheduled support
group meetings to take place on Jan. 5 and 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the LGBT Health Resource Center
Conference Room (2nd floor), 1111 N. Charles St. in Baltimore.
The LGBT Health Resource Center of Chase Brexton has partnered with SAGE (Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders)
to establish the SAGECAP program—a safe and welcoming community designed to help LGBT caregivers navigate
their current and future needs. The program supports informal/unpaid caregivers who identify as LGBT themselves
and/or care for someone who is LGBT.
While LGBT caregivers provide care to a loved one, SAGECAP supports them, and in turn helps them prepare for a
time in their life when they may need care.
In addition to the support groups, SAGECAP offers one-on-one counseling, info rmation and referral services, and
assistance with financial, medical and legal services. If there is a need for such support especially during the holidays,
call 410-837-2050 ext. 1216 or email lgbt@chasebrexton.org for more information.
