THE NATIONAL BAIL OUT COLLECTIVE The National Bail Out collective is a Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists building a community-based movement to support our folks and end systems of pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration.
BRAVE SPACE ALLIANCE Brave Space Alliance is the first Black-led, trans-led LGBTQ+ Center located on the South Side of Chicago, dedicated to creating and providing affirming, culturally competent, for-us by-us resources, programming, and services for LGBTQ+ individuals on the South and West sides of the city.
BLACK GIRLS CODE Black Girls Code strives to build pathways for young women of color to embrace the current tech marketplace as builders and creators by introducing them to skills in computer programming and technology.
HOME Equal Justice Initiative. The Equal Justice Initiative is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society.
INNOCENCE PROJECT The Innocence Project, founded in 1992 by Peter Neufeld and Barry Scheck at Cardozo School of Law, exonerates the wrongly convicted through DNA testing and reforms the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice.
FACING HISTORY AND OURSELVES Facing History and Ourselves uses lessons of history to challenge teachers and their students to stand up to bigotry and hate.
THE LOVELAND FOUNDATION With the barriers affecting access to treatment by members of diverse ethnic and racial groups, the Loveland Therapy Fund provides financial assistance to Black women and girls seeking therapy nationally.
TEACH THE BLACK FREEDOM STRUGGLE CAMPAIGN The Teaching for Black Lives campaign of the Zinn Education Project (coordinated by Rethinking Schools and Teaching for Change) supports teachers with free lessons for teaching about racism and anti-racist struggles, distribution to school districts of the book Teaching for Black Lives, teacher study groups, a podcast, online classes for teachers, and more.
FEED BLACK FUTURES Feed Black Futures (FBF) was founded in 2020 as a means to create sustainable change for food autonomy within Black communities. Our organization feeds Black mamas and caregivers impacted by parole, probation, and/or caring for incarcerated loved ones, in the greater Los Angeles area by partnering with Black & Brown owned farms and food suppliers across Southern California.
CASA With over 155,000 lifetime members across 46 US states, CASA is a national powerhouse organization building power and improving the quality of life in working-class: Black, Latino/a/e, Afro-descendent, Indigenous, and Immigrant communities. CASA creates change with its powerbuilding model blending human services, community organizing, and advocacy in order to serve the full spectrum of the needs, dreams, and aspirations of members.
The CASA Baltimore committee, in deep relationship with dozens of Black-led groups, has done some of the deepest work in the country to inform a consent decree on policing.
These committees and activists come together to guide our demand for justice for TPS and DACA holders and all 11 million undocumented in this country.
