Vicki Helmick, Facilities Supervisor, 10 years
Vicki says, “I have always liked helping people. Working in the Facilities Dept. allows me to help people in ways I never imagined. When I was very young, my parents asked me what I wanted “to be” when I grew up. My answer was a Nurse. I never followed up on that career. I landed in the Facilities Dept. while working for Monumental Life Insurance Company and have worked in the Charles Street building since April 13, 1987. I began my employment with Chase Brexton on March 11, 2013. Accepting a position working for a company in the healthcare field was a good choice for me because it satisfies my need to help people and keeps me very busy.”
Edlam Demissie, Dental Assistant, 10 years
Edlam says, “My ten years here at Chase Brexton came so quickly. These 10 years really feel like 3 years. When you appreciate what you do, when you keep things simple and honest, and when you enjoy the people you work with, the job no longer feels like work.
The patients are special. The Columbia staff have become family. The Dental team, my director, and my supervisor are supportive and trusting. I appreciate each department of Chase Brexton.
I am blessed to be working here.”
