(11/11/22) Chase Brexton Health Care will have a new home in Baltimore County when it completes a move from its current location in Randallstown to its new Security Square Center by the fall of 2023, occupying a portion of the former Montgomery Ward adjacent to Security Square Mall near Security Boulevard and Rolling Road.

Chase Brexton, a Federally Qualified Health Center, currently serves more than 7,000 patients in Baltimore County, offering comprehensive primary care, behavioral health and substance use, psychiatry, dental, OB/GYN, pharmacy, and social work services. The health care provider has maintained a presence in northwestern Baltimore County since 1999, and is the only federally qualified health center located in northwestern Baltimore County.

“Our new Security Square Center is an exciting opportunity to grow our services in Baltimore County, and good news for both our team members and the patients who rely on us,” said Patrick Mutch, Chase Brexton President and CEO. “We are thrilled to be part of the revitalization of the Security Square area, and expand our very special mission to serve even more patients.”

Before relocating in 2023, Chase Brexton will embark on a significant renovation of the Security Square space. The capacity of the new center will double the number of local residents served, to an estimated 14,000 unique patients, many of whom will access services and medications at a lower cost thanks to Chase Brexton’s sliding fee scale. The new location offers patients easy access from I-695, I-70, and Route 40, while supporting the overall revitalization of Security Square Mall and its immediate area.

To support the expected costs of the $7 million renovation and expansion of the new Security Square Center, Chase Brexton has launched a capital campaign to raise $3 million from outside sources—government grants, foundations, corporations, and special events—over the next two years. All funds will be used to renovate the space and purchase the extra equipment and furnishings needed for a larger space.
