Baltimore – (December 2, 2024) Chase Brexton Health Care will expand its outreach services to individuals seeking substance use treatment in Baltimore City and Anne Arundel County, thanks to a recent grant.
The grant from Maryland’s Office of Overdose Response will support outreach by Chase Brexton’s Certified Peer Recovery Specialists (CPRS) to communities served by its Mt. Vernon and Glen Burnie Centers.
“Chase Brexton is always happy to serve,” said Lisa Pearson LCSW-C, Vice President of Behavioral Health for Chase Brexton. “It is important to be in and of the communities where we are located. Our certified peer recovery specialists bring a unique perspective to our care model and service delivery.”
In collaboration with community partners, Chase Brexton’s CPRS Team will facilitate community-based events offering Narcan training, overdose prevention packages, harm reduction services, and referrals to onsite services, including substance use disorder treatment, Medications for SUD (MSUD), and primary medical care.
