(9/19/2024) Over 15 years ago, Phyllis received the news that she was HIV positive. After anxiously visiting her provider for next steps, she was referred to Chase Brexton Health Care (CBHC) for our specialized programs and services. Fast forward over a decade and Phyllis has truly made CBHC her medical home. From therapy, social work, pharmacy, primary care, support groups, and nutrition assistance, Chase Brexton is her one-stop shop for healthcare needs. When reflecting on her holistic experience, Phyllis comments, “If I was ranking from 1 to 10, I would give it a 10. I have never needed something and didn’t get it.”

One huge part of CBHC that means a lot to Phyllis is the dedication, friendliness, and professionalism of the staff. She says, “All the nurses and aids are really awesome. They calmly handle emergencies; they know what to do at all times. One of the biggest things is that they remember you. People don’t realize that these interactions may be the only time we get to talk to someone all week.”

When reflecting on the Every Meal Matters food pantry, located onsite, Phyllis appreciates the accessibility and organization in which patients know exactly where items are located and how to ask questions. She compliments the Pharmacy department specifically, particularly on the ability to have prescriptions delivered.

The impact of CBHC on Phyllis’ life is profound. We are proud to make a difference in the lives of our patients every day!
