(1/23/24) On December 13th, 2023, Aya Shuman, Executive Director of our Institute for Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion and Sam McClure, Executive Director of The Center for LGBTQ Health Equity, presented a holistic, informative, and engaging training to the Maryland LGBT Chamber of Commerce and Foundation Boards. This training included concepts such as intersectionality, cultural humility, implicit bias, microaggressions, boundary-setting and more, with introspective reflection and discussion.
One attendee commented, "This training should be expanded and made available to as many organizations as possible as the information shared is invaluable."
