HIV knows no biases. Anyone can get HIV. TOGETHER, we have the POWER to protect ourselves.
The POWER Project is a group of highly compassionate, sex-positive HIV experts who focus on testing and prevention. As a part of the Chase Brexton Social Work and Outreach, their mission is to help bring an end to the HIV epidemic.
Your health is POWER. The POWER Project team can help you:
TAKE ACTION TO PROTECT yourself & your partners:
- get safer sex kits,
- learn about prevention options, and
- see us regularly for testing (hours are below)
SPREAD THE WORD THAT TREATMENT IS A FORM OF PREVENTION! Following a good treatment plan can make a person living with HIV undetectable and undetectable equals untransmittable (U=U) which means they can't transmit HIV through sex.
BEGIN TREATMENT FOR HIV if you have been diagnosed with HIV, let's get you into care. Call us: 410-837-2050 x8829
GET TESTED for HIV & know your status.
- Visit the Center nearest you for free, walk-in HIV testing.
- Don't want to get tested alone? Partner testing is always available.
- Check out the HIV Testing hours below.
UNDERSTAND PrEP & decide if it's right for you. PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is one way to protect yourself from HIV infection. Talk with us to get started. Learn more about the PrEP basics here.
RECENT HIV EXPOSURE? PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) is an emergency treatment that must be started within 72 hours of exposure to HIV. Call 410-837-2050 x8813
BRING TESTING TO YOUR COMMUNITY The POWER Project's testing and medical van is on the road around Baltimore City and County. Connect with us if you have an event and you'd like safe, free, confidential HIV testing to be available.
