Security Square Center Hosts Ribbon-Cutting, Open House

Chase Brexton officially opened its new Security Square Center in April with an open house event, hosting several key local leaders and partners who made our new home in Baltimore County a reality.

Among those on hand were Adrienne Jones, Speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates, and representatives from the office of Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski and the Baltimore County Council. Also in attendance was artist Luther Wright, who created a special work of art at our recent Gala which now hangs in a prominent place in Security Square Center.

Chase Brexton Again Earns “LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader” Designation

May 9, 2024 - Chase Brexton Health Care has retained its long-running designation as an “LGBTQ+ Healthcare Quality Leader” by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, one of just two healthcare facilities in Maryland to earn the distinction and one of 384 nationwide.

"Ritz & Razzmatazz" Gala Raises $370,000 to Support Services at Security Square Center

Baltimore (May 1, 2024) – Chase Brexton’s 2024 gala, “Ritz & Razzmatazz,” succeeded in raising more than $370,000 to support services for uninsured and under-resourced patients at the community health care provider’s new Security Square Center.

The gala, held March 30 at the Baltimore Museum of Art, was themed around a celebrating of “the new Roaring ‘20s” and played host to more than 200 attendees—many of whom were dressed to the nines in their finest flapper- and Gatsby-inspired styles. 

Dr. Elyse Pine Named Chase Brexton's 2024 Provider of the Year

Dr. Elyse Pine was named Chase Brexton Health Care's Provider of the Year for 2024 at a recent gathering of our senior leadership and providers from our medical, behavioral health, dental, OB/GYN, psychiatry and pediatric teams.

A pediatric endocrinologist, Dr. Pine has been with Chase Brexton since 2015 and sees patients at Mt. Vernon and Columbia Centers. Dr. Pine was nominated by her peers, and selected by the senior leadership team.

Medical Assistant Michelle Taylor Recognized in State of the State Address

Security Square Center Lead Medical Assistant Michelle Taylor was in attendance for Governor Wes Moore's State of the State Address Wednesday, and even earned a shout-out from the governor himself for her work with Chase Brexton.

Chase Brexton to Launch STI Clinic at Mt. Vernon Center With CDC Grant Support

(11/15/23) Chase Brexton Health Care will launch a new clinic focused on the diagnosis and treatment of sexually-transmitted infections (STIs) in Baltimore City thanks to a grant award from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Chase Brexton was awarded $500,000 in first-year funding to start the clinic, with a total award of $2.5 million expected over the five-year project period. Funding was awarded under the CDC’s Enhancing STI and Sexual Health Clinic Infrastructure (ESSHCI) project, part of the ongoing federal Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. initiative.

Chase Brexton Receives Grant from CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield to Support Pediatric Care and Gender-Expansive Youth Program

(1/11/23) Chase Brexton has been awarded $300,000 over three years to increase access to the organization’s behavioral health programs for “at risk” youth, as well as the Gender JOY program for gender-expansive youth.

The grant is part of a larger $7.9 million investment from CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst), the largest not-for-profit health plan in the mid-Atlantic region, to improve behavioral health outcomes for youth across its service areas in the region.  

Chase Brexton Announces New Home for Baltimore County Center

(11/11/22) Chase Brexton Health Care will have a new home in Baltimore County when it completes a move from its current location in Randallstown to its new Security Square Center by the fall of 2023, occupying a portion of the former Montgomery Ward adjacent to Security Square Mall near Security Boulevard and Rolling Road.

Chase Brexton Receives $100,000 Grant from Delta Dental Community Care to Support Dental Services

(10/21/22) Chase Brexton Health Care will continue to provide quality, affordable to patients in need with the support of a recent $100,000 grant from the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation.

The funding will support Chase Brexton’s dental services at its Mt. Vernon, Columbia, Glen Burnie, and Randallstown Centers.
