Chase Brexton Expanding Psychiatry Department
It is with pleasure and excitement that we announce that Dr. Sharon Bisco will be joining Chase Brexton Health Care as the Director of Psychiatry on April 15, 2019.
Dr. Bisco is a graduate of Yale University and the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv. She completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland and became board certified in 1994. Dr. Bisco has thirty years of clinical experience in academic and community-based clinics and private practice.
Columbia Center's Pearson Named to Horizon Foundation Board
Lisa Pearson LCSW-C, Director of Behavioral Health Services at Chase Brexton's Columbia, Glen Burnie, and Randallstown Centers, was recently named to the Board of Trustees of the Horizon Foundation.
Based in Columbia, the Horizon Foundation is Maryland's largest imdependent health philanthropy. Its mission is to lead community change in Howard County through innovative initiatives, collaborative partnerships, strategic grantmaking and thoughtful advocacy.

LGBT Health Resource Center's Monte Ephraim Named "Hero Among Us"
Monte Ephraim, Manager of Behavioral Health Services and LGBT Older Adult Programming at The LGBT Health Resource Center, was recently named a Hero Among Us by the Greater Baltimore HIV Health Services Planning Council.
Ephraim was honored for her years of service to those living with HIV/AIDS in the Baltimore area.
Easton Center Accepts $150,000 CareFirst Grant
BALTIMORE (January 7, 2019) – Patients in need of primary care at Chase Brexton Health Care’s Easton Center will benefit from a generous $150,000 grant by CareFirst to support ongoing services to the Eastern Shore.
The grant award was presented to Chase Brexton President and CEO Patrick Mutch in Cambridge on Tuesday. The funds will be used through June 2020 to increase access to Chase Brexton’s comprehensive primary care services for patients in Dorchester, Talbot and Kent Counties.
