Medication Support Team Honored as Baltimore Sun "Heroes of the Week"

Ebony Beckles and Heidi Whiting from our Medication Support Team were recently honored by the Baltimore Sun as "Heroes of the Week" for their extraordinary efforts to help Chase Brexton patients adhere to their medication plans and treatment regimen.

"It already was difficult to get their HIV-positive patients to adhere to their medication regimen, but COVID-19 has made the work of Beckles and Whiting that much more difficult.

Carefirst Bestows $74,000 to Support Purchase of New EKG Machines

Chase Brexton Health Care patients facing hypertension or cardiovascular disease will benefit from the community health care center’s purchase of new EKG machines, made possible by a recent $74,000 grant from CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield.

The grant award was made as part of CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield’s "Improved Access to Chronic Disease Management Services for Low-Income Populations Diagnosed with Hypertension or Vascular Disease” program.

Broadway Cares Bestows $25,000 Grant to Support Chase Brexton's COVID-19 Care

Chase Brexton Health Care’s ongoing efforts to diagnose and treat COVID-19, as well as its continued care for individuals living with HIV, will be boosted by a recent $25,000 grant from Broadway Cares.

The funds provided by the organization’s Emergency Grant for Pandemic Relief will be used to support patients with immediate needs, whether those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, or those living with HIV or AIDS.

NBA Star Rudy Gay Delivers COVID-19 Response Grant

Chase Brexton recently received $50,000 in emergency grant funding from the medical aid organization Direct Relief, in partnership with the National Association of Community Health Centers—and Baltimore’s own NBA star, Rudy Gay, visited Chase Brexton’s Mt. Vernon Center to present the funds.

Chase Brexton Receives $150K Grant From Siemens Foundation for COVID-19 Efforts

Baltimore – (April 21, 2020) – The Siemens Foundation today announced it is providing $150,000 to Chase Brexton Health Care to respond to the COVID-19 crisis. The community health center is one of 12 receiving financial support from the non-profit organization established by Siemens USA.

Chase Brexton Launches COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund

Seeking to better meet patient needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, Chase Brexton Health Care has established a COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund which will help the community health center maintain patient screening and testing efforts and build its telehealth capability.
